the year is 1980, and the wizarding world is preparing for the storm ahead. while voldemort is gathering supporters and rallying those he sees capable of representing him to his cause, hogwarts university, built in 1901 for wizards looking for more extensive magical training, continues to hand out educations to those willing to stay and learn. while the outside magical community is in uproar trying to protect fellow family members and gather the support of others, the university is a perfect representation of the world and the chaos it stands in. with house tension higher than ever, it’s no surprise that students usually spend their free time with fellow housemates, discussing which families have picked sides, and which run the risk of being eliminated from the race all together.
however, as if the university didn’t have enough to gossip about, the house of gryffindor has finally taken the reins of scandal; lily evans, who has been known to hang around the four young men calling themselves the “marauders”, is pregnant with james potter’s first child. luckily, the muggleborn isn’t alone. the quiet and shy alice logan is sporting a baby bump from none other than frank longbottom. the problem is, neither future mother is wearing a ring.
as the dark lord grows stronger, families of pure blood are being forced to either make a bed, or lie in the one voldemort gives to them. the men are signing their lives away through their left forearms, and the women and wives are agreeing to keep their numbers up by having children even after they’ve produced an heir.
the choices that will be made have never been more important or necessary for a family’s survival. whose side will you take?
