Alec smirked as he watched her for a second. He turned the car left a bit, following the curve of the road. He switched lanes getting ready to take a right. He slowed down as a car in front of him moved to the left lane, he slowed down turning right. He followed a road, into town. He slowed down at the town's speed.
He looked around, tons of other students were flying around. Small cars, big cars, hummers. "Oooooh, Nice car!" he pointed out suddenly watching as a hummer went by. He cracked up when he saw the driver's face staring back. He stopped at a traffic light, his face was serious again. He enjoyed laughing, just not when he was driving or doing something serious. "If only it were Hollywood." he muttered.

Clarissa blinked and watched as all the high-class, fancy cars passed by them. She turned to look at the car Alec had pointed out. She didn't really like it. It was big and bulky. Square. She smiled, amused by his sudden enthusiasm. He would get along with her brothers just well, she noticed.
She eyed the buttons on the door and pushed one. The window rolled down. She rolled it all the way down, liking how it made a smooth woooosh noise as it did so. She toyed with it a few times - up, down, up, down - and finally left it alone, wide open. She smiled at a passing driver. The driver looked at her, as if she were crazy.

Alec smirked as she played with the window. He turned the car to the left, pulling into yet, another parking lot for the day. He pursed his lips as a few students noticed him and tugged at their friend's shirts, pointing. It was oh so great to have a 'flashy car'. He rolled his eyes and ignored their glances and laughing.
He drove back around and found a spot to park. It was between a small car and a truck, he drove past it before putting the car in reverse and backing into the parking spot. He put the car in park and revved the engine once, it made a loud and harsh "vroom" noise before putting the windows up and turning the car off.
"Love that sound." he said with a smirk, he got out of the car and walked around opening her door. "Just to make it clear, there is no reason for you to be shy or nervous. Nothing is going to happen to you, if I can help it." he held his hand out to her.

She blinked and moved back as the window started rolling up. She smirked as he revved the engined and agreed that the 'vroom' noise was pretty cool. She didn't know much about cars, but she could tell that this one stood out from the rest. When he opened the passenger door for her, she smiled and took his hand. "I'm trusting you on this, Alec. My parents would be horrified if they found out I was squashed by a bug by a car," she teased. She looked around as the groups of students and couples moved around them, like bugs. She couldn't pick out an individual conversation. She smiled at Alec "Where to, Mr. Bryant?" she asked in a formal voice, grinning.

Alec smirked,"Agreed.." he said. He noticed as well as she did, people were all around,"Totally wanted a Jeep." he shut the door and locked the car before turning around. "Hows inside sound to you?" he asked with a smile.
He put his arm around her and began to walk toward the restaurant. He looked back over his shoulder, people were staring at them, then back at the car. He looked back ahead. He was glad he couldn't see the people on the right, because of his hair. He was not tense at all, hopefully she wouldn't be either. But if she was, he'd try his best to make her feel better.
"Is that an Aston Martin?!" he heard someone blurt on his right. He stopped and turned,"No...It's a Volvo." he answered almost annoyed sounding. The student stepped back at his voice. Alec raised an eyebrow and continued walking, he chuckled when he was a ways away from the student. He put his hand over his mouth to hide it, it was really amusing.

((What's with all the talk about cars?? XD))
Clarissa relaxed again as he put his arm around her again. "Sounds good," she agreed. She tried to ignore the people that were now either staring or pointing. She stopped with him as someone yelled something to her right. Clarissa had no idea what he was talking about. Who was Aston Martin? Then she realized he was talking about a car, and she looked away, losing interest. She'd much rather look at the surrounding buildings and people and flashy lights. Like a child. This place was so... new. It excited her. And frightened her some. It was just so... crowded and bright. And the stars! There were no stars.

Alec continued walking toward the 'Panda Wok'. He hadn't been there for a while, the only times he had been there was when he had been desperate to eat something different than the school's food or his own food. Either way, he didn't eat outside the campus much. He only hung around, skated, and basically studied. He didn't have a lot of friends, most of his high school buddies went to College in LA and some went to North Dakota for flight school.
He stopped at the door opening it for her, he immediately smelt the food. He moved toward the front desk, waiting behind a few other people. He looked at Clarissa for a brief second before looking around the buffet. There was a small roar of chatting going on, mostly all the tables were filled except for the far left side, apparently the smoking section. He curled his lip and got goosebumps thinking about it. Smoking, bad experiences. He looked to the right, two booths had become empty in the time they had been standing there, around two minutes.

Clarissa smiled as he opened the door and a blast of pleasant chatter and the smell of food hit her. She took a deep breath and her stomach growled. She looked around the restaurant, having never been here before, and eyed the smoking section. Her nose wrinkled, and she was glad she couldn't smell the smoke from here. She looked at the food on the tables and her stomach gave another growl. She wondered if she had to used chopsticks. A fort-something woman with a too-big smile and black hair tied into a tight bun trotted over to the two of them with a notepad in her hand. "This way," she gushed, and Clarissa wondered why she was so happy. It was kind of creepy, actually.
The woman led them to one of the open booths on the right side of the restaurant and placed two menus on the table, one on each side, before she trotted off again, saying, "Your server will be right with you." Clarissa gave her a quick smile and slid into her seat.

Alec took a seat looking around. He pulled out his phone and checked it, he'd missed two calls and someone was trying to call him again. He turned it off setting it back in his pocket. He felt uneasy suddenly, he had no idea why. He relaxed, though inside he felt stares from every direction. He looked like he was in deep thought.
He raised his head as the room seemed to grow louder in chatter, and then it lowered back to whispers. He curled his lip a bit at the annoying noises, he never could block it out. He liked the quiet, constant loud noises, except for music, made him feel overwhelmed. He inhaled deeply and exhaled, he hoped Clarissa did not sense his tension. He bit the inside of his cheek his stare almost penetrating, he flicked the hair from his face and his expression seemed to be in the present once more.
He gave a smile,"So how do you like it so far?" he felt his voice couldn't be heard, but he knew it could. His regular, almost apathetic, low tone even caught his own attention. He sometimes didn't recognize his own tone. It was so clear, and once it was gone, you almost wanted to hear it again. He had never liked his voice, for his appearance he thought it too gruff.
He didn't want to stand out, yet it seemed, everything he did, seemed to do just that. His clothes, his hairstyle, his attitude, his voice, his car. He really wasn't used to being a noticed person, in LA he was invisible. Yet in LA he wouldn't have met anyone like Clarissa, so it seemed worth it.
