((I'm just going to go ahead and put them in the Student Center, even if it is Downtown... they'll get there soon enough.))
Clarissa pulled her jacket over her shoulders and zipped it up, wincing as it rubbed against her bandages. She glanced at herself in the mirror one more time and fixed her hair. She waved goodbye to her friends who were looking at her, puzzled, before nearly skipping out the door.
She slowed down as she neared the Student Center and set her phone to vibrate. She'd already been embarrassed in class once because it had rung in the middle of a lecture. And this was more important than a lecture.
She saw him up ahead and smiled, waving hello, though he probably didn't see it. It was starting to get dark. "Hello," she said, grinning, when she finally reached him. She clasped her hands behind her back, her heart beating faster than normal.

Alec smiled as she appeared. "Hello to you too." he said. He held out his hand to her,"You ready to go?" he asked with a smile. He ignored the glances from others, it seemed people liked to know what exactly was going on with other people. He raised an eyebrow as he looked around, he let out a small sigh.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out the keys. He hoped his car was still clean looking, he hadn't used it in a week. He flicked the hair from his face, he could see clearer. She looked nice,"Wow, you look nice." he said smiling. It almost seemed he hadn't done much at all, he tried to ignore that feeling. He had asked her to go somewhere with him, and had enough courage to say he liked her. Maybe he had done more than he should have, he bit his lip thinking for a second.

Clarissa smiled, took his hand, and nodded. His next statement got her off guard and Clarissa blinked. She felt her face go warm and she looked down at her feet. "Oh. Um. Thanks," she stammered, but still held his hand. "You're looking... handsome." She wasn't sure what she was supposed to say. She'd never been on a date before. Or had a boyfriend. Suddenly, she felt like an idiot. She wanted to sink into the ground and hide before she embarrassed herself anymore. She heard giggling to her side and she looked up to see a Junior quickly look away. Obviously there was something funny. And Clarissa knew that something was probably her.

Alec smirked,"Thanks." he said before shooting a glare at the Junior. "Let's head out..." he said moving forward, he gently pulled her along. The parking lot was only a ways away, he didn't appreciate the Junior laughing at her. He understood she wasn't used to it, and he wasn't going to make it harder for her. So why would they? He rolled his eyes at the stares, people really could look stupid.
He looked down at her and gave a smile. "Just relax, trust me." he said before looking ahead again. That was the only thing he could say, he felt like a fool for not being able to help her. He bit his lip and ignored the glances, the door was just ahead.

Clarissa smiled as he pulled her along gently, forgetting all about the Junior. She wasn't good at paying attention. Or remembering, for that matter. She was nervous and her heart was beating just a little bit faster than normal. Why are you nervous? the voice asked. She didn't know. She was just... nervous... being here... with him... going somewhere... holding his hand....
"I do," she said before she could even think about what was coming out of her mouth. She blushed and looked at the ground. She relaxed a little, taking a deep breath, breathing in the smell that came with the soap they used to clean the floors and tables. To Clarissa, it smelled kind of nice. Even if it was chemicals. She took another deep breath.

Alec put his arm around her,"If you don't want to go, just tell me." he said with a chuckle. He opened the door for her, to let her walk out first. He looked over his shoulder, before turning back. He smiled at her, she seemed tense. He let the door shut behind them, he continued walking toward the parking lot.
He gave a nod of his head as they walked by a few people that greeted them with murmured hello's. He pulled the keys from his pocket,"I'm serious you know, if you'd rather stay here to eat that's fine. Being nervous isn't much fun, personal experience." he smirked, halting. He raised an eyebrow, his car was just up ahead in the parking lot.

Instinctively, her shoulders relaxed when he put his arm around her. Clarissa smiled. "No no, I do want to go," she said, looking up at him. She smiled and muttered a thank you as he opened the door for her and felt the blast of the chilly evening air as they stepped outside. Bringing her jacket had been a good idea.
She stopped with him and looked up again, so she could see his face. "I'm fine, really. If I don't do this, then I'm always going to be nervous, right?" she said, shrugging. "I'll just try to be... not nervous." She really needed to get off campus, anyways. She hadn't been out for... a week? She couldn't remember. The only thing she could remember from her last trip was that it had been really cold.

OOC// I was almost too lazy, but I did it. Car ---> images.paultan.org/images2/Volvo-S60-Concept-Teaser-Exterior-450.jpg Alec shrugged taking his arm from around her. He took her hand, he pressed the unlock button, the lights flashed on in response. "I suppose so, unless we waited and tried again when you were more comfortable." he said with a smirk. "But, fine, you want to do it, alright then. Just tell me if something you don't like happens." he let out a small sigh.
He moved to the passenger's side, opening the door. The inside had a grayish leather upholstery. Sometimes he wished his parents had let him pick the car, instead they wanted to get him something 'flashy'. And their definition of 'Flashy' was sort of annoying to him. He remembered their questions.'How's a Volvo Concept sound to you?'
He remembered seeing it in a printed picture they handed him. He rolled his eyes and asked if he could pick it out, they just got it anyways. It still drove him crazy, he really wanted a Jeep or a Land rover. He looked over the car almost as if he didn't recognize it. He at least got to pick the color, black. His parents wanted silver of course. He managed to convince them black was better. He raised an eyebrow looking at the car again. He hated 'flashy' things, unless it was something he really wanted. ((Oooooh fancy.))
Clarissa's eyes widened when she saw the car. If he were to drive this down one of the main roads back home, it'd be the center of attention. Clarissa herself didn't even know how to drive - neither did her five brothers. They rarely drove to town in their rusty old 1952 Ford pickup. Once, however, she'd gone on a joy ride with her brothers in her grandfather's 1967 Dodge Coronet station wagon when her parents were asleep. It hadn't ended well, however, after crashing into a tree and breaking an arm.
"Wow, Alec..." she said, still looking at the car. "This must have cost... a lot." She wasn't about to tell him that she didn't know how to drive. Not unless he asked. It was an embarrassing truth. She smiled at him and climbed into the passenger seat of the car. She marveled at the interior, probably looking like an idiot. Her parents had never asked her or her siblings to fasten a seat belt - there were none - and Clarissa ignored the strap dangling over her shoulder, not even noticing it there.

Alec nodded,"Yep, it was something I didn't even ask for." he shut the passenger car door before moving around to the side. He opened his car door and got in, shutting it. "I would have liked a Jeep or a Hummer better." he muttered,"I blame my parents..." he smiled as he turned the car on. He hardly ever wore his seat belt, it was annoying to him. A lot of things were annoying to him.
He put the car in reverse, and backed out watching as he did so. Thankfully, not many cars were around, so he didn't have to wait before putting it in Drive and heading on. He looked around, not many people were out. He looked over at her and laughed. "Please don't tell me you have never seen this before." he said teasing her.

Clarissa looked at him, surprised. She would take any car, no questions asked. As long as it was something that wouldn't fall apart, not rusty, and fast. And when she got her license. She looked over and noticed he didn't wear his seat belt either.
"No. Never," she breathed. "Not until now." She'd gotten a ride to town with one of her friends a few weeks ago in her black Ferrari F430. It had been like a dream. It was nothing like riding to town in her family's old pickup. Here, it wasn't like the thunderous roar of the pickup or the jump and jolts of the old monster. She looked at the radio. What kind of stations did they get here?

Alec laughed at her voice,"I'm just teasing." he said. He saw her look at the radio,"See whats on.." He pressed on the brakes suddenly, thank god they weren't going fast. He beeped the horn as a car stopped suddenly in front of them. He turned the steering wheel to the left and hit the gas going around the stopped car. He had an angry look on his face as he looked in the blind spots before changing lanes. "Where would you like to go?" he asked.
He waited at a stop sign next to the entrance of the campus. He hated where the parking lot was on the campus. It was too close to skate to, and a ways away from the entrance. He always had to drive and park on the side of the main road to be able to skate out of campus and do his own thing. Skating from the start was too much of a hassle, and he definitely was not in love with his car.

Clarissa gasped as they suddenly stopped and she jolted forward. To anyone else, it probably would have been no big deal, but she'd never really been in many cars. She calmed down quickly though, and turned her head to look at the other car, pushing her red hair out of her eyes at the same time. "Oh, um..." she began. Where had she been anyways? "I... I don't really get out much so I don't know what's available. Why don't you pick?" She shrugged and felt stupid. She was fine with... anywhere. Clarissa liked every type of food - from sushi to sandwiches, from salad to steak. She looked out her window, which, unlike the old pickup, was clear and tinted. The sun had set and the sky was a deep blue, the waning moon casting a silvery glow on the earth. Clarissa smiled and tried to look at everything they passed. She felt like a little girl again, doing that.

Alec pursed his lips as he pulled out into the traffic, he sped up immediately. He weaved his way through the traffic as if it were no trouble at all. He gently applied the brakes, and beeped at a car as it zoomed in front of him. "Get down the road..." he mumbled incoherently. He sped up zooming around the car, managing to squeeze in front of the other car. The driver's horn went off and Alec looked into the rear view mirror. "Okay, if you don't mind so much, hows Chinese sound?" he used the side button to put his window down.
Alec raised an eyebrow as a car zoomed up to his left. He looked at the driver, the driver stared back as if in shock. He smirked shaking his head and looking forward again, he let his left arm hang out of the window slightly. His hair was blown back from the wind and he could see out of the corner of his eyes, as other cars passed him. He didn't want to go the full fifty-five miles per hour, she wasn't used to it, and he didn't really want to speed around. Being in the car he was in was enough, why make others angry at his driving.

Clarissa watched the other cars zoom past as he drove, turning her head as he murmured something to himself. She took a deep breath as he opened the window, smelling the coming spring, even though it was chilly. "Yeah, Chinese sounds good," she answered, smiling. She hadn't had Chinese since... well, she couldn't remember. A long time ago.
She leaned back in the seat. It was so much more comfortable than the ripped and worn leather seats of the pickup. When I get my license, I'm going to buy a car like this one, she thought, smirking.
