FREE SPIRIT Andie is a free spirit, sure she has her laid back moments but she feels that life if to short to just stay still and do nothing, so she does whatever she pleases. She has been told many times by doctors that she could die at any time, that he heart could just fail, so if it is going to fail, she is going to give it something worth succeeding for. She knows she can not convince her heart to keep beating but she is going to try as hard as she possibly can to at least make it think about it.
MINGLER Andie is a mingler. She loves to get to know all kinds of different people and learn about the way in which they do things. She tends to have friends in all groups and has no problem blending in. Her friends sometimes call her chameleon because she tends to blend into her surroundings and adapt to whatever she needs to adapt to. She can be nerdy one second and then bubbly cheerleader the next without any difficult transition period.
TALKER Andie could talk for hours. It is her favorite thing in the entire world. She could talk for hours and hours, sometimes without even taking a breath. She gets told to shut up a lot by those who want to talk just as much as she does but tends to do really well with the people who like to listen. She has no problem filling in the dead air when no words are available. If there is one thing she hates more then anything else it is awkward silences and dead air.
SECRETIVE Andie tends to be a little more secretive. Sure she can talk to you for hours on end but she has a really hard time opening up with people. She does not know how to deal with her own demons and her illness on her own that she is not sure how to let other people have the ability to deal with it. She wants to be able to open up to other people but she is afraid that people are going to start treating her differently and that is the last thing that she would want.
INTELLIGENT Andie is pretty smart but definitely no classified as one of the smart kids. She is not a straight A student, only because she hates homework and refuses to do that. She is however a very quick learn. She likes to learn on her own, generally by reading about her subject. She does a lot better reading about a topic then she does listen to a teacher drag on and on about it.
A FRIEND Andie is good about being the best friend. She likes to be their for people when she is needed. As much fun as partying or doing something can be, people are what makes life what it is and any material thing that will be over in a few hours or be forgot about a few weeks later is never even thought to be more important then being their for a friend. She will drop any plans she has to help someone, as long as she does not have to drop her plans with someone else. With that even, she will try to find a time to give you the time that you need.
FLIRTATIOUS Andie loves to flirt, or at least its what her parents call it. She has always been a big flirtatious one. She will flirt with boys and girls alike, even though she is very much straight. Flirting is just another way of getting attention. She knows that it is not the best way to get attention but most of the time that she is flirting with someone she is completely unaware of it, and stays unaware of it until one of her friends comes up to her and tells her she was totally flirting. After that point she does not deny it, because she knows it has to be true.
ATTENTION SEEKER Andie loves getting attention from people, whether it be her family, her friends or some random person that she does not know very well. Most of the time she is surrounded by people, and she gets the attention that she wants, but she has been known to seek it out when there is no one around to give it to her. This has caused rumors that she was sleeping around, which was never the case. Not only has she never slept with anyone, she has never even kissed a boy. She just loves to talk and can’t do that without someone there to listen to her.
NORMAL Andie does not get noticed like other people, she tends to make sure she stays under the radar, she wants to be known, doesn't really care if she is popular or remembered for any reason. She just kind of wants to be her until she can not be her anymore. Most people who are not close friends with her don’t seem to notice her at all, which is what she wants. When she wants someone to notice her that is not currently noticing her, she has not problem making that happen.
VIOLENT Andie has a little bit of an anger problem with the fact that she is dying. She holds it in the best that she can but on days when she is feeling a little weaker then normal or she is having problems with her heart, she tends to become a little violent. She does not mean to but that pent up rage has a way of coming out against her will. She will generally apologize to whoever gets affected by this, but most people by now just look at it as normal and think that she is just bi polar. She does not deny that she is bi polar, because she is not, but she does not state that she is not bi polar either. Having people think that she is bi polar is easier then having people know she
ROMANTIC Andie is a hopeless romantic. She loves romance movies where the guy catches the girl at the airport right before she is about to leave to tell her that she is crazy in love with her. Movies where the bad boy turns into a sweetheart and does anything that he can to get the girl. This is why she has not been in a relationship as of yet. She is still waiting for that dream movie romance guy to come and sweep her off of her feet. She doubts that it will ever happen, but since she is dying she figures that now is not the time to settle. If she doesn’t find her prince she is not going to settle with kissing frogs hoping that a prince will come out of it.
DREAMER Andie lives in her head when no one is around. She makes up fairytales of how her life would be if she was not sick. Fairytales about that prince sweeping her off of her feet and taking her to a castle in the sky where she will live happily ever after. She knows that it is a long shot and that she will die before that happens but all she has left these days are dreams so she dreams all the time. Dreaming makes dying a little bit easier.[/ul]

Background:
THE FIRST A year after their marriage Lidiah gave birth to a baby girl who they named Amanda Brianne Spencer. AB was the first two initials of both of their mothers so they wanted to pass that on to their daughter.
THE SECOND Two years after Amanda was born, Lidiah and Edmond gave birth to their second son, a little boy who they names Andrew Brighten Spencer. They once again kept the AB initials alive in their kids.
THE THIRD Six years passed and though they thought that they were done with kids, Andie Brevlyn Spencer came into the world, but she did not come into the world creating a joyous occasion.
ANDIES HEART Andie was not born the perfect happy healthy baby that her parents had hoped for and expected to get. She was born with a heart malfunction that meant at times her heart would not do enough to keep the blood pumping.
ANDIES FIRST WEEK Andie spend the first week of her life hooked up to machines in the hospital. The doctors gave her parents little to no hope. They said that if after a week her heart does not start being on its own, then she would die.
FIRST DAY HOME Andie’s heart did start to beat on its own, but it was not that strong. She had to wear a small machine that monitored her heart at all times. It was one beeped really loudly whenever her heart acted up. It beeped a lot.
FIRST HOSPITAL TRIP Though they went to the doctor a lot, when Andie was five months old she had to be rushed to the hospital because of the infrequency in her heart beat. They kept her for three days and told her that there was nothing that they could do for the little girl, so they sent her home.
AGE ONE Andie was not supposed to make it to the age of one but she made it and she was a fighter. Age one was a pretty easy year. Though she still had to wear the machine, she was not having as many problems with her heart. All her parents had to do was keep her calm and all was well.
AGE TWO When Andie was two they thought that she was going to die. She was playing outside and ended up falling around the edge of the pool and breaking her arm before her parents had time to relax. Her heart was not sure what to do with this kind of trauma, and it stopped working for her. That was when she made the donor list.
BABY BOY When Andie was two years old, something that the family was not ready for happened. Her mother became pregnant again and shortly after Anthony Bryce Spencer was brought into the world. Through the family off a little bit but he was still greatly welcomed.
AGE THREE Andie had a pretty rough year when she was three. She was in and out of the hospital constantly and the doctors told her parents that they needed to prepare themselves for the worst, which they had already done the day she was born.
AGE FOUR Andie’s fourth years was another easy year. They tried their best to keep her in calm situations. This made things hard on her siblings because where as they got told no all the time she got whatever she wanted so that she would not freak out. They did not want them telling her no to a brand new toy here and there to be the reason that she got worked up and her heart stopped working for her.
AGE FIVE Another easy year for Andie, and the worries began to fade, even on trips to the doctors they told her parents that she was doing very well and it seemed as if her condition was improving on its own. All her heart needed was time to fully develop. After which doctors felt she would have a normal healthy heart like everyone else got to have. Andie at this point was more aware and came to the conclusion that she did not want to be like everyone else. She did not want her life to change.
ACTING OUT A little before Andie turned six she began having violent outbursts towards everyone. Doctors and coucilors told her parents that is was the stress of her being sick. The more she realized that there was a problem with her the angrier she could possibly become. Now not only did her parents have to fear for their daughter, they had to fear for their other kids as well.
AGE SIX This was a tough year for Andie. Her mother was a kindergarten teacher so she did kindergarten at home with her mother, however now was the time for first grade. Her entire life she had only been interacting with her new family and now she was going to have to interact with many more kids. Her parents told her not to tell the kids about her heart, and though she promised she did not know why it was supposed to be a secret she had to keep from the world.
THE SCARE In April, during first grade year Andie passed out in the hallway at school. She had to be rushed to the hospital. Her parents were terrified not only for their daughter being in the hospital but the things that kids were going to ask when she got back to school. They thought about home school but neither one of them had the time and the law required that she be schooled. So she had to go back, but no one said anything about it. It was like it never happened.
AGE SEVEN-NINE Andie’s heart problems became almost non existent for a tow year span. It still had it irregularities but there were no more late night trips to the hospitals or her collapsing at school. She was sure that the problem was over and she felt that everything was going to be alright, but it was far from being alright.
AGE TEN When Andie was ten years old she was rushed to the hospital yet again. They felt that this was just another routine trip that was going to end shortly after they got their and stabilized her heart, but they were wrong. Andie was hospitalized for six weeks and they were working on a donor. They said that her heart had completely failed and was not working with her. They told her that without the machines they had hooked her up to she would die. For six weeks the Spencer family lived in the hospital, not wanting to leave Andie’s side.
A DONOR Andie was released from the hospital and sent home. Since they were still worried drastically about her heart, they had a nurse that came out to the house every evening to do a check up on Andie. People were losing faith, except for Andie, who felt that it always got better before so it was going to get better this time. Around this time they got the call they thought was going to save their daughter. They had a heart.
A NEW HEART Andie threw a fit before they put her to sleep for the surgery. She did not want someone else’s heart, she wanted her own as bad as it may be. She did not really have a choice in the matter and so she ended up with a new heart.
THE FIRST YEAR The first year after her transplant they were in and out of the hospital making sure that it was still working for her, and while it was strong at first it grew weaker and weaker. They said the due to Andie not wanting someone else’s heart, her body was trying to reject it to give her what she wanted. Andie did not want to die, but she could not accept that she was carrying around some dead person’s heart in her chest.
JUNIOR HIGH Junior year was a hard year for Andie, not physically but mentally and emotionally. She was still in and out of the hospital, which she was so used to it was like brushing her teeth or taking a shower, but people became more curious in junior high. They constantly wanted to know why she missed a lot of school and those who occasionally caught a glimpse at the scar on her chest had more questions then she was ready to answer.
THE DEMON Allison Bree Spencer came into the Spencer family during a rough time. Not only did they now have five children, but one of them was still sick. It was not their financial well being that they were worried about, being as they were well off with money, it was their emotional well being. They did not know if they were ready to take on another person. Andie more so then the rest of them. She was not ready for a new person to be in on her life and looking on to her problems. From the instant that Allison was born Andie hated her.
HIGH SCHOOL Andie started off high school great. Her family had just moved to Florida from California where they had lived before, because her dad got an amazing job with a small claims court. Andie got to start over in a place where no one looked at her and wondered about her scar or why she was constantly in and out of school without any warning, and why everyone seemed to be ok with it. She finally for once got to feel normal.
ACCEPTANCE Andie knew that the reason her heart was not working properly was because of her. That was what the doctors continuously told her, that she was rejecting her own heart because she did not want it. She figured that she was in a new school, with new people, living a new life, she may as well accept her new heart. So that is what she did, she accepted her heart, but it was not that easy like she thought it would be.
BAD NEWS Andie took her first trip to the hospital in Florida in the back on an ambulance. She was glad that she was at home when it happened, where no questions ever got asked anymore. This time the news was bad. Her heart was back to where it was before she had the transplant and it was not working well with her body. The doctors in a very sure manner, which was confirmed by multiple doctors told Andie that she would not last many years longer if that with the heart she had, and they were going to put her on treatment and back onto the donor list.
THE CATCH Since Andie had already been on the list and gotten a new heart, she had to participate in the treatment in order to keep her name on the list. The treatment had the tendency to be painful and time consuming but it was her only option. Andie asked for time to think about it, though everyone was sure that they were about to embark on a treatment mission. No one expected that she was going to say no to the treatment. She just wanted to live out her life, no more hospitals, no more treatments, no more new hearts, she just wanted her chance to live for once.
STRONGER NOW Andie did not realize that after the decision she made she would get stronger. Her heart was still failing on her, and the doctors had little hope in her making past high school, but because she was willing to live, that is what she did. She finally allowed herself to live like a normal teenager, doing normal teenager things.
MAKING IT Andie was constantly told that she was not going to make it out of high school alive, that her heart was not strong enough, but she graduated along with all the other students, and got accepted to many colleges. She chose the one she is at now because she wanted a place that was out of the ordinary, not a school that people talk about left and right, and a place where no one knows who she really is.[/ul]

Role-Playing Sample:
Annie wondered what it was that made him the one that she spoke to this evening. She tended to do this thing where she singled in on one person and make them her priority for the night. This was generally a good thing and worked in her favor. People, even guys, tended to notice when they were someone first priority in that moment. She would choose one person and make them her evening. Another person passing by or trying to talk to her, just ended up with a cold shoulder compared to what the person she was paying attention to was getting. He seemed like someone who could probably hold her attention for a long time. Though generally once she was done and ready to go, she either lost interest or never saw the person again. Which in the end of it all was probably a good thing.
Annie pulled herself out of her thoughts and turned her full attention back to Mason. He seemed to be pondering over something she had said. That or maybe he was getting bored. That in her case would not be a good thing. She had just gotten out of the house and she was no where near ready to lose this gusy attention. He was far to cute and easy to talk to for that to happen. "Well it may not be, but people should try and avoid drinking if they won't enjoy it" Annie agreed with his comment. People had a problem with control as it was. Throw a little bit of alcohol on a problem and there is bound to be a mess afterwards. Alcohol can sometimes leave a trail of mistakes tagging along behind it. She knew this from personal experience. Which is why she was hoping that she did not get to drunk tonight. She had much bigger plans in store. Like getting out on the dance floor with Mason and having a good time. That to her seemed like a much better idea compared to forgetting her name or not being able to stand up properly.
Well people do things for strange reasons. Enjoyment is rarely on the top of the list these days. So it would not surprise me if deep down over half of these people are just drinking because everyone else surrounding them is. She said in a profound kind of manner, which was in fact just her own alcohol kicking its way into her train of thought. That or because society tells them that drinking and passing out in the bathroom of some club or getting so drunk you can feel comfortable dancing with the person you can’t stand. I find it all rather cliche but its happening a million times over right in front of us. Annie made the decision in that moment to give herself a few minutes to get herself back on track before she had another beer. She had just finished off her third one and as much as she hated to admit it, she was a lightweight and really starting to feel the numbness, which lead to funky walking and blurred speech. Which is what she really did not want.
"Yeah dancing usually turns out to be the fun part of the night" Annie could not agree more. She loved the dancing part of the evening. Whether or not there was another person to dance with. That is why she hated to go to more quiet places. At the quieter places no one seemed to dance. People just gathered at their tables and talked about their days or what has been going on since the last time they had seen each other. Annie was a socializer for sure but sometimes she just wanted to lose herself. Sometimes she just wanted to get one the floor and lose control of her feet. She never fully loses control of herself but her feet lose control all the time. I can agree with you on that.
"But I promise I'm not as strange as i may seem" Annie let out a short laugh. She couldn’t believe she just called him a strange man. Sure he was a man and a stranger to her, but there was nothing about him really that shouted strange man. He seemed a little more on the tall, slighly dark and incredibly handsome side, which was amazing. It was one of those things that you could just not overlook in a room full of guys that all started to blend together and look the same. He stood out in this room and she always like things that stood out to the rest of the world. "Thanks guess I'll take that as some for aof a compliment then" Annie smiled and let out another laugh. You are very welcome. She said putting her beer to her lips again and taking a small drink. Some people don’t get to say that. She let out on more small laugh. Me for example. Put a couple more of these in me. Which I hope that you don’t try to see, could very well turn into something that one does not want to see. My foolness is a scary thing.
Annie watched Mason as he looked over the beer that she had ordered for him and put on a smug smile. She was glad that she could have ordered a beer that he enjoyed. People had such different taste buds that you could not be for sure that two completely different people could come close in having the same taste in something. Whether it be food or something to drink or something they like to do. "I wouldn't be that rude, and plus free beer you never turn that down" Annie would not have been disappointed had he turned her beer down. She would be a little hurt on the inside but she would not be disappinted. Definitely wouldn’t want you to be rude. She laughed. That could really look bad for you.
When Mason had started to follow her out to the dance floor, his hand still in hers she felt her heart beat a little bit faster. It was a bit of an excitement, getting to this point of the evening. "Well you know how i feel about daning, so i guess you could have predicted that my answer would be yes, especially when the prettiest girl in the club is the one to ask me to dance" Annie felt her face get a little flushed when he called her the prettiest girl in the room. Wondering if it was a cincere comment or if he just said out loud the things he figured she would like to hear. Either way she blushed to the compliment. Well aren’t the prettiest girls supposed to get the hottest guys. She said with a smile, turning to face him once they got to the dance floor. Cause if so, I seem to be doing pretty good.
