Lake Arthur, New Mexico, was a small town, existing in the shadow of nearby Roswell for the better part of the twentieth century. The construction of the University of New Mexico on the outskirts of town, though, brought with it an influx of people, students, graduate students, and professors, all seeking a common purpose - education. Today, UNMLA is a thriving community of well over five thousand students in a wide variety of majors and graduate studies, and Lake Arthur is a thriving metropolis. The Lake Arthur Cavaliers (basketball, soccer, you name the sport, UNMLA probably has it) are doing remarkably well for such new teams - could you be a part of one? Are you willing to take the risk and try out? Or do you want to be president of an organization, club, or just have some fun and party?

We are in need of a lot of canons, so check out the canons thread and maybe pick one up? Also, canon reservations are good for five days; after that, the canon will be opened for others to choose. However, if your application has disappeared, don't worry, it's most likely in the archives. Just PM a staff member to get it back!

Staff Play Place This is the staff play place. The place where staff can discuss those important things that keep the place running and goof off in private.

Character Creation The character sheet can be found in here; this board is also where you should post your application for consideration.
Dormitories (4 sub-boards) There are two dormitory halls at UNM, each with a boys' wing and a girls' wing. You will be assigned one when your character is accepted.
Campus Center (4 sub-boards) The campus center is open 24 hours a day, giving access to the pool, gym, bookstore, small grocery store and game room. Students are found here at all hours, shooting pool or working out.
Keating Library The library is for research, using the computers, and doing various other things in the stacks whilst hoping the librarian doesn’t catch you
Mendel Science Center The science center is a second home to the undergraduate science majors as well as the graduate students and science professors. It houses a lot of labs and classrooms along with the Planetarium.
Campus Dining (2 sub-boards) The campus is home to a large cafeteria and every student's favorite Sailor's Cafe. All types of food are available, but no one can promise they taste good.
Alfond Art Center The art center is open 24 hours a day, allowing anyone into it's quiet halls to express themselves. The building contains anything an artist could wish for, from brushes to sound proof practice rooms complete with music stands and instruments.
Thoreau Nature Trail The nature trail runs a circuit around the school, through some woods that lie between a few of the buildings, and is a good place for students to run, walk, or just have picnics.
Houses and Apartments (1 sub-board) This is where the homes of all the off-campus seniors, juniors and any other commuters can be found. This is also where many of the unsanctioned parties will take place.

Downtown (4 sub-boards) Downtown of Lake Arthur is filled with several small restaurants, a pharmacy, a movie rental store, grocery stores, and several small town businesses.
Coyote Point Coyote Point is the most popular swimming area on the lake. People come here to swim, to kayak, to canoe, and the brave few to go cliff diving.
